UFOs Galore - Quilter Jargon for Unfinished Projects!

So many projects so little time!
  • My grandmother's signature quilt in the frame for handquilting.  Timeline - March 30 for Mom's birthday.
  • Scrap Therapy (gold tone - I've made several, one pink, one blue and this one is multi-colored with a gold border) - it needs machine quilting
  • Dresden plates (12 of them) to applique to a lovely lavendar tone-on-tone print
  • Add binding to a wall hanging begun in Colorado
  • Several tops upstairs that need quilting and finishing
I want to make a pink string baby doll quilt to give to Victoria to match one she has.  We found a wonderful blue wooden cradle and special doll quilt will make a lovely Christmas gift.  I also want to make something for Caleb - either a demin ragged quilt or a black and white Scrap Therapy.

They say that UFOs add a level of stress to one's life but I seem to start new ones before finishing the old ones all the time!  Part of it is that my sewing machine is older and doesn't seem capable of doing free motion quilting - I had it professionally cared for and it still can't do it.  I don't want to pay to send them out so they just don't get done.  I have several machines so need to set them up and find one that can quilt.

This is an ongoing issue for me - I always have UFOs out there.  Organizing photos, geneaology, writing memoirs, class work, doing something for one of the organization for which I am apart.  I gave up managing the volunteer schedule at the food pantry and it feels good to have that off my shoulders though I loved doing it.  I realized that my schedule is so full that I didn't leave room for God to show me the ministry that He would have me do.  I would like a paid ministry job plus try to do all these other things!  No wonder I am so often tired.  I probably need a personal coach to help me organize my life.
